Macau is present as a tourist destination at the ITB Berlin tourism fair, which runs from 6 to 10 March, to attract more international visitors and to explore long-distance travel markets, the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) said.
The territory is promoted this year with a 63-square-metre stand, dedicated to the theme “Feel Macau in your way,” which showcases the city’s varied tourism facilities and products, as well as its charm as a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy.
At the same time, the MGTO, the Guangdong Department of Culture and Tourism and the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) have set up a joint stand to promote the tourism resources of the Greater Bay through opportunities created by the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay.
As joint tourism promotion is one of the action plans for 2019, the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Tourism Promotion Organisation is also taking advantage of this tourism fair to promote strategic advertising at ITB and on its various multimedia platforms.
Bringing together about 10,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries and territories each year, ITB Berlin is the world’s main platform for tourism and in 2918 was visited by more than 170,000 people. (Macauhub)
