2 April 2019

The Brazil-China Parliamentary Front of the Brazilian National Congress is due to be formally launched on Wednesday in Brasilia, with the aim of deepening two-way trade and cooperation, according to an official announcement.

The launch session of this front, which will precede one for the Brazilian-BRICS Parliamentary Front, will be attended by the Chinese ambassador to Brazil, Yang Wanming, as well as parliamentarians, authorities and businesspeople from both countries.

Member of Congress Fausto Pinato, who coordinates the two fronts, said that the event will be special, “as it celebrates the tenth anniversary of China becoming Brazil’s main trading partner.”

The coordinator of the Brazil-China Parliamentary Front, who is also chairman of the Committee on Agriculture of the National Congress, said it was also necessary to focus on the economic results of international cooperation, so that “agribusiness can not only maintain and increase exports and the revenue from them. ” (Macauhub)
