The Cape Verdean and Portuguese prime ministers will co-chair the 5th Portuguese-Cabo Verde summit on 13 April in Lisbon, the Cape Verdean government announced in a statement released on Wednesday in Praia.
The official statement said that the 12 bilateral agreements to be signed by the two heads of government “bolster and promote greater effectiveness of results of this bilateral cooperation,” between the two countries.
Other relevant issues will include the Cabo Verde-EU partnership, Europe-Africa relations, the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP), currently chaired by Cabo Verde, and maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea.
The two governments will also take stock of the implementation of the Strategic Cooperation Programme signed in 2017, which has a financial package of 120 million euros. (Macauhub)
