The conditions for participation in the Youth and Entrepreneurship Exchange Programme for Young People of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries have been made easier, according to the Macau Economic Bureau (DSE).
Under the new conditions, people aged between 18 and 44 can, if they meet the criteria in place, submit an application to travel to Portugal for innovation and entrepreneurship exchange, exploring opportunities for development.
The DSE launched this programme at the end of 2017 with the aim of boosting exchange and cooperation between the young people of China and the Portuguese-speaking countries in the area of innovation and entrepreneurship, which is part of the Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme in the Greater Bay of the Macau Government’s Governance Action Lines for 2019.
Young entrepreneurs taking part in the programme can use the Second Home workspace free of charge in Lisbon, Portugal and participate in training courses and use the consulting services provided by the Startups Factory – an incubator and accelerator famous in Portugal.
Approved participants must stay in Portugal for a period of between 14 and 90 days, and will be provided with a round-trip between Macau and Portugal as well as an allowance for daily expenses. (Macauhub)
