Macau received 13.79 million visitors in the period from January to April, an increase of 19.9% over the same period of 2018, according to the Statistics and Census Bureau.
Visitors remained in Macau for an average period of 1.1 days, 0.1 days fewer year-on-year, with those from Mainland China accounting for 70.9% of the total, with more than 9.7 million, an increase of 21.0%.
Hong Kong came second with more than 2.4 million visitors, followed by Taiwan (353,600) and South Korea (323,600), figures representing year-on-year increases of 23.6%, 1.7% and 7.5%, respectively.
In April, Macau had 3.4 million visitors, an increase of 15.9% year-on-year, with an average length of stay of 1.1 days, down 0.1 days year-on-year. (Macauhub)
