The Macau Chief Executive said on Thursday that the International Forum on Infrastructure Investment and Construction had established an international cooperation platform.
Chui Sai On, inaugurating the tenth edition of the event, said that the Forum will take into account the provisions of the Outline Development Plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay, in order to ensure connections between infrastructure in the region.
“This interconnection will make the Greater Bay an important region to support the construction of the Belt and Road initiative,” he concluded.
The event was attended by several Chinese and foreign government leaders, as well as more than 2,000 political participants, entrepreneurs and academics of 750 entities from more than 70 countries and regions.
The Forum now has a Guidance Commission, established on the first day of the 10th edition of the event.
The Macau-based Commission provides guidance, support and services on a political level for the sustainable development of the Forum, serving as a guarantee and support for the organization of the IIICF.
The Guidance Commission of the IIICF was co-created by the Ministry of Commerce and the Government of Macau. (Macauhub)
