Macau’s casinos revenue increased 1.8% year-on-year last May to 25.952 billion patacas (US$3.244 billion), according to the Macau Games Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
Growth in May halted two consecutive months of falling gross revenues, with the contraction in April reaching 8.3%, the highest in the year after 5.0% in January and 0.4% in March.
Accumulated revenue from January to May contracted 1.6% year-on-year to 125.691 billion patacas (15.711 billion patacas) from the 127.727 billion patacas recorded in 2018.
The six Macau gaming concessionaires had 41 casinos at the end of the first quarter of 2019, of which 22 were run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau) and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with 6,624 gaming tables and 17,122 slot machines.
