The conditions for the installation of a technological hub in Cabo Verde to provide services to West Africa “are all in place,” and the project is due to move ahead in early July, the chair of Cabo Verde Tradeinvest said on Thursday in Praia.

Ana Barber was speaking on the sidelines of a two-day visit by a delegation from Bringbuys Web Technology, of Macau, to Praia, to meet with Cabo Verde TradeInvest, the Operational Nucleus of the Information Society (NOSI) and Centre for Renewable Energies and Industrial Maintenance (CERMI), in order to follow up on negotiations for the installation of a technological hub in Cabo Verde.

Barber said the project is divided into three phases, the first encompassing the computing centre, the second will be the training phase and the third will be the internationalisation of the project.

Bringbuys Web Technology’s international department director Chloe Wang said the visit was intended to follow up on the project, noting that its installation follows the 11th meeting of businesspeople for economic and trade cooperation between China and China. the Portuguese-speaking countries, held in June 2017.
