Gross revenues at Macau’s casinos grew 5.9% in June year-on-year to 23.812 billion patacas (US$2.976 billion), according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.
The percentage variation recorded in June was the highest since the beginning of the year, following rises of 4.4% in February and 1.8% in May and drops in the remaining months, with a 5.0% drop in January, -0.4% in March and -8.3% in April.
Accumulated gross revenue between January and June reached 149.503 billion patacas (US$18.687 billion), or a fall of 0.5% compared to the same period of 2018.
The six Macau gaming concessionaires had 41 casinos at the end of the first quarter of 2019, of which 22 were run by Sociedade de Jogos de Macau, six by Galaxy Casino, five by Venetian Macau, four by Melco Crown (Macau), two by Wynn Resorts (Macau) and two by MGM Grand Paradise, with 6,624 gaming tables and 17,122 slot machines.
