The number of cars registered in Macau at the end of the first half totalled 107,900, an increase of 0.8% year-on-year, according to the Statistics and Census Bureau.
The bureau also reported that the number of mopeds (24,600) decreased by 9.3% and the number of motorcycles rose 1.8%, and overall the number of vehicles registered in Macau dropped slightly at the end of June 2019, a year-on-year contraction of 0.1%.
At the end of 2018 Macau had 448.9 kilometres of roads.
At the end of June, there were 120,800 fixed-line telephone users and 2.1 million mobile phone users, a decrease of 6.1% and 11.0%, respectively, compared to the end of June 2018.
The Statistics and Census Bureau also reported that there were 561,700 registered users of Internet access services at the end of the first half, a year-on-year increase of 7.0%.
