Macau’s population totalled 672,000 people at the end of June 2019, a quarterly increase of 1,100 people, according to the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau.
The female population, with a total of 357,500 people, represented 53.2% of the total population at the end of the first half, the bureau said.
At the end of June there were 190,300 non-resident workers in Macau, a quarterly increase of 852 workers.
Macau’s land area is 32.9 square kilometres, so it has a population density of 20,425 people per square kilometre, one of the highest in the world. (Macauhub)
