The 1st edition of the ExpoHotel Angola fair, taking place alongside the 1st International Congress on Hotels and Tourism, will be held in Luanda from 26 to 29 September next, the chairman of the Association of Hotels and Resorts of Angola (AHRA) said on Thursday.
Armindo César said the event will take place at the facilities of Angolan Public Television, in the Camama district, in a 25,000 square-metre area, to bring in as many exhibitors as possible from all over the country.
The AHRA chairman said he believes that showcasing what is produced in the country, to support of the hotel and tourism industry, will make it possible to give prioritise consumption of national products related to agriculture, industry, handicrafts, furniture and others.
The organisation and hosting of the 1st edition of ExpoHotel and the 1st Congress on Hospitality and Tourism is supported by the Ministry of Tourism, as the entity responsible for the sector, and Angolan Public Television, and is included in the government programme for the diversification of the economy.
Last May Angola hosted the World Tourism Forum and the “Presidential Golf Day” tournament, events intended to promote the country’s tourism potential and attract investment. (Macauhub)
