Public tender for new mining concessions in Angola will be presented on 7 October

The public tender for the granting of mining rights for prospecting and exploration of mineral resources in Angola will be announced on 7 October, after the round of presentations started on 27 August, in Luanda, according to an official statement.

The Ministry of Mineral Resources and Oil also said in the statement that the presentation tour had added one more city, New York on 30 September, which was added to Luanda (Angola), Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Beijing (China) and London (United Kingdom) between 27 August and 20 September.

The aim of these presentations is to bring up for tender five mining concessions, two for diamonds in the provinces of Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul, one for iron ore in Kwanza Norte and two for phosphates in Cabinda and Zaire.

The minister, Diamantino de Azevedo, said the presentation of the public tender in several cities, which will end with the announcement of the tender on 7 October, aims to attract foreign investment and ensure greater transparency in the management of Angola’s economy. (Macauhub)
