The 1st edition of ExpoHotel Angola, which will take place from 26 to 29 September, alongside the 1st Congress on Hotels and Tourism, in Luanda, will be attended by over 100 companies, said the organiser, the Angolan Association of Hotels and Resorts (AHRA).
The event will take place at the premises of Angola Public Television, in the Camama urban district, in an area of 25,000 square metres, with each participating company having an exhibition area ranging from 9 to 36 square metres.
The congress and the exhibition will be attended by foreign guests from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana, Tanzania, Lesotho, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo Brazzaville, Cabo Verde, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Brazil, and Cuba.
According to the schedule, the congress will also be attended by the Secretary-General for Africa of the World Tourism Organisation and the Secretary-General of the Southern African Regional Tourism Organisation.
The event will focus on topics such as “The importance of agribusiness and national industry in the hotel and tourism sectors in Angola,” “Energy and water as indispensable factors for the development of hotels and tourism in Angola,” “Taxation in the hotel sector,” and “The importance of implementing hygiene and food safety in the hotel and restaurant sector.”(Macauhub)
