Companies from China and Portuguese-speaking countries meet at summit in Macau

On 16 October, Macau will host the Summit on the Construction of the China-Portuguese-Speaking Trade Cooperation Services Platform, supported by the 2019 China Central Public Enterprises, the Macau Institute for Trade and Investment Promotion (IPIM) said in a statement.

The statement said that the summit will be entitled, “Advancing to a new era of cooperation and exploring new development opportunities”.

The IPIM statement recalled that the 12th and 13th Five-Year Plans defined by the Central Government of China expressed unequivocal support to Macau in building the “Service Platform for Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries” and added that the 2017 edition of the Summit was attended by several companies from Mainland China, Portuguese-speaking countries and Macau.

About 400 representatives of Central Government ministries and commissions, central public companies, companies from Portuguese-speaking countries, local companies and trade associations, among other bodies and institutions, will be invited to this year’s edition. agreements and discussion panels, including panels on infrastructure, characteristic finance and technological innovation.
