Macau received 30.2 million visitors from January to September, an increase of 17.0% over the same period of 2018, according to the Statistics and Census Bureau, which added that the average length of stay was 1.2 days.
Visitor arrivals from mainland China (21.45 million), South Korea (609,830), Hong Kong (5.56 million) and Taiwan (815,830) increased by 17.7%, 0.4%, 22.3% and 1.5%, respectively, as did visitors from the United States (151,510), from Australia (64,470), from Canada (55,370) and the United Kingdom (44,200).
In September, Macau reached 2.76 million visitors, an increase of 8.0% over the same month of 2018, with an average length of stay of 1.3 days.
Mainland China accounted for 1.92 million visitors last month, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. (Macauhub)
