Portugal led by number and China by value in terms of the investment proposals submitted by foreign companies to the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (Aipex), the investment and fundraising manager said.
Sandra Dias dos Santos, on the sidelines of the first Business Forum, part of the Luanda Municipal Business Fair programme, said the agency had received 189 investment proposals since the beginning of the year, which included the creation of 1,800 jobs.
The director also said that most of the proposals came from Angolan companies, followed by partnerships between foreign and Angolan companies.
The foreign proposals included those from Portugal, with 19 proposals worth US$7 million, those from China with six proposals worth US$176 million and from Eritrea with five proposals worth US$ 5 million. (Macauhub)
