The dates for the submission of proposals for the international public tender to grant mining rights in Angola have been extended by one month, the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Oil said in a statement issued on Wednesday in Luanda.
The announcement stated that the deadline for submission of proposals had been extended from 18 November to 18 December 2019 and the opening will be extended from 19 November to 19 December, “in order to respond positively to requests from potential competitors.”
This international public tender is to grant mining rights on phosphate concessions (Cácata and Lucunga) in the provinces of Cabinda and Zaire, diamonds (Camafuca-Camazambo and Tchitengo) in the provinces of Lunda Norte and Lunda Sul and iron ore (Kassala Kitungo) in the province of Kwanza Norte.
The tender was launched on 7 October 2019, and was preceded by technical presentations in the cities of Luanda, Dubai, Beijing, London and New York. (Macauhub)
