Macau’s Gross National Income (GNI) totalled 406.02 billion patacas (US$50.7 billion) in 2018, and per capita income was 614,950 patacas (US$76,868), the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau said.
GNI was lower by 38.64 billion patacas lower than the Gross National Income for 2018 at current prices (444.67 billion patacas).
Per capita GDP in 2018 reached 673,481 patacas (US$84,185), the Bureau also said.
Foreign factor income outflow, reached 94.1 billion patacas in 2018, rising by 23.1% on year mainly due to income from direct investment (72.47 billion patacas) by non-resident companies and investors rising by 19%.
Total foreign factor income inflow, reached 52.26 billion patacas in 2018, rising by 33.1% compared with 2017, mainly due to income from other investments (33.17 billion patacas), and investment portfolio income (18.07 billion patacas), for companies residing outside the territory, rising 44.3% and 16.7%, respectively.
After cutting out the effect of price variations, in the year under analysis, the GNI and GDP rose by 6.8% and 5.4%, respectively, in real terms, against 2017, and per capita RNB and per capita GDP rose by 5.0% and 3.6%, respectively. (macauhub)
