At the end of November 2019, Macau had more than 240,000 vehicles registered, with a slight growth of 0.4% compared with the end of the same month of 2018, the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau said.
The number of cars (109,240) and motorcycles (99,530) rose by 1.3% and 2.2%, respectively, while mopeds (24,060) declined by 8.4%, according to Transport and Communications statistics for November of 2019.
In the first eleven months of 2019, the number of newly registered vehicles totaled 11,350, or 13.4% less when compared with the same period of 2018.
At the end of November, there were 116,970 users of the fixed-line telephone network, a drop of 6.4% year-on-year, with users of the mobile telephone network increasing by 10.6% to 2.45 million.
There were also 585,140 registered Internet access services subscribers or an annual increase of 22.5%. (macauhub)
