The sea transport links between Macau and Hong Kong have all been cancelled from Tuesday, according to an official announcement.
The decision was made by the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, as a measure to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
In Hong Kong, there have so far been 15 cases registered, with one death.
Turbojet and Cotaijet, the operators of the ferry routes, announced the links would be suspended until further notice.
All connections between Macau and Hong Kong are now being made via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge, a measure to enable greater control of movements.
In Macau, there have been 10 cases of the virus recorded, seven of which were imported and the remaining three were contracted locally. (macauhub)
