Macau-based bank Banco Nacional Ultramarino posted a profit of 721.9 million patacas in 2019, an increase of 23.6% compared to the result recorded in 2018, according to the balance sheet for 31 December 2019 published in the Macau Official Bulletin.
The balance sheet shows that the BNU recorded income in the amount of 1.680 billion patacas and costs of 958 million patacas.
At the beginning of the month, Portuguese parent group Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) announced that BNU Macau had contributed €68.7 million to the group’s consolidated net result.
BNU is the issuing bank of Macau, alongside the Bank of China, and was the main contributor to the consolidated accounts of the CGD financial group, followed by BCI Moçambique, with €34.8 million and the in France with €20.4 million. (macauhub)
