The more than 11,000 building units and parking spaces bought and sold in Macau in 2019 reached a value of 62.24 billion patacas (US$7.78 billion), said the region’s Statistics and Census Bureau.
Last year 8,277 residential building units were bought and sold (2,545 fewer on year) to the value of 51.05 billion patacas, and notably buildings constructed (7,101) and of buildings under construction (1,176) were bought and sold for 40.61 billion and 10.44 billion patacas, respectively.
The average price per square metre of the residential units was 107,522 patacas in 2019, equivalent to a decrease of 0.8% year on year.
The average price per square meter of these units in Coloane (125,799 patacas) and Taipa (110,721 patacas) fell by 7.2% and 1.5%, respectively. However, the average price on the Macau Peninsula (104,346 patacas) rose by 2.4%.
The average price per square metre of already built residential units (100,977 patacas) rose by 3.9%, however the price of building units under construction (142,487 patacas) fell by 0.1%. (macauhub)
