The Subsidy Scheme for Students Enrolled in Programs of the University of Porto, which was introduced this year by the Tertiary Education Fund, will be open for application from 25 may to 7 July.
The scheme aims at supporting Macao residents who are enrolled in bachelor degree programs, dual degree programs or Portuguese preparatory courses at the University of Porto in Portugal.
The scheme offers a total of 15 spots for the following programs:
- Preparatory courses (MOP 29,000 per school year);
- Bachelor degree program (MOP 48,000 per school year)
- Dual degree program (subsidy amount will be equivalent to the corresponding postgraduate scholarship of the current year).
Eligible applicants of the subsidy scheme must first complete the first phase of Portuguese preparatory course (400 hours) at the Portuguese Oriental Institute before proceeding to the second phase of preparatory course (300 hours) at the University of Porto in Portugal.
Applicants must be holders of MSAR Identity Card and MSAR Passport and must present their result slips of the joint university admission exam.
People who are interested in the subsidy scheme may go to the Portuguese Oriental Institute between 25 May and 7 July to apply in person.
