China's ambassador to Portugal said in Lisbon that the Portuguese government is waiting for Chinese companies to get involved in the country's energy, services, financial, insurance, medical, health, maritime business, agricultural and infrastructure sectors. Cai Run was speaking in the Portuguese capital to an economic delegation from the Pan Pearl River Delta (9+2) region, which includes nine Chinese province (Fujian, Jiangxi, Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainão, Sichuan, Guizhou and Yunnan) and the Special Administrative Regions of Macau and Hong Kong, which visited Belgium and Portugal from 19 to 24 June.

China's Guangdong province plans to make use of the specific adavantages Macau ahs to offer as a platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries, the governor of the province, Zhu Xiaodan, said Tuesday in Macau. During the 2016 Guangdong-Macau Joint Cooperation Conference Zhu also said that there were plans to support companies from both regions to invest in countries in the "One Belt, One Road" route and to increase cooperation in the Guangdong and Macau international tourism industry.

The Visit Brasil website (http://www.visitbrasil.com/), the official Brazilian tourism website (http://weibo.com/), said the Brazilian Tourism Institute (Embratur). Weibo, which is one of the largest social networks in China and the world, has 600 million users inChina alone. Embratur plans to use it to attract Chinese tourists to Brazil before, during and after the Rio 2016 Olypic and Paralympic Games.

In May China became the world's largest buyer of beef from Brazil after buying 20,280 tons for US$84.3 million, according to the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporters (Abiec). Overall, Brazilian companies exported 100,980 tons of beef, generating revenues of US$398 million, 17.4 percent more compared with April, with Egypt in second place with 17,300 tons and then Hong Kong with 15,000 tons.

China has offered two hundred and fifty solar lampposts to be installed in several neighbourhoods and roads in Bissau, the capital of Guinea-Bissau, the city's Mayor announced. Adriano Ferreira added that the ship carrying the lampposts was already its way to Guinea-Bissau and was due to arrive at the capital'sport within two weeks.

The agreement on trade in services between mainland China and Macau, which came into effect on Wednesday, 1 June, will allow companies from 153 areas of activity to offer their services in the interior of China. The document, which is an extension of the Closer Economic and Trade Partnership Arrangement between China and Macau (CEPA) was signed in November 2015 by interim Chief Executive and the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Leong Vai Tac and the Deputy Trade Minister, Wang Shouwen.

The China Civil Aviation Authority has notified its counterpart in Portugal of the intention of Capital Airlines, of the Hainan Airlines Group, to start operating direct flights between Portugal and China, Portuguese financial daily Jornal de Negócios reported in Lisbon. "The National Civil Aviation Authority has received communication from its Chinese counterpart, giving an account of the intention of a Chinese air carrier at the end of the year, to start operating scheduled air services on the Hangzhou - Beijing - Lisbon route on a twice weekly basis," a spokesman from the Portuguese regulator, which must approve the link, told the newspaper.

Angola wants to attract businesspeople from Macau and Mainland China who are interested in investing in the tourism sector, said the Consul General of Angola in Macau in an interview published in the latest Forum Macau newsletter. Sofia Pegado da Silva, says in the interview that as part of the promotion of Angola tourism has not been neglected, "especially as the country needs to diversify the economy, with tourism part of the agenda for attracting investment.”

China is willing to help Guinea-Bissau to achieve food self-sufficiency, which "will require work and the involvement of all Guineans," China's ambassador, Wang Hua said in Canchungo. "There is a lot of work to do for Guinea-Bissau to reach its food independence and solve the hunger problem in the country," said the Chinese diplomat, who stressed the need for joint efforts between Guineans and the international community.

The President of the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) opened a centre for exhibition and trade of food products from Portuguese-speaking countries, in the city of Chongqing, China, IPIM said. Chongqing is one of the largest municipalities in China with an area of 82,000 square kilometres, a population of 30 million people (18 million in the capital city) and in 2014 recorded a Gross Domestic Product of US$232 billion.
